On Sunday 2017-04-30, between 09:00 and 10:00 PDT, UBC IT will be performing a network firewall upgrade affecting the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. During that window, the ECE network will experience a brief outage of less than 10 minutes during the transition.

The most likely impact to ECE users is that NFS-mounted filesystem access could be disrupted, possibly requiring Linux servers and workstations to be rebooted after the outage. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
