Network Failure (Nov 2012)

Jump to navigationJump to searchThere was a campus-wide network failure this morning. Most ECE services failed for several minutes around 8 am as the main router was rebooted.
Here is the report from the UBC Network Management Centre as of 10:30 am:
We first noticed the issues around 7:20am where users would have problems accessing external sites(internal sites still worked). NMC was notified and initiated a reboot for ANGUHUB1 and LFSCHUB1 which completed at 8:10am. NMC is still investigating as to what caused the issue. I will keep you updated once I hear anything new.
