Kaiser power outage (February 20, 2021)

ECE IT has been informed that there will be a power outage planned for the Kaiser building on Saturday, February 20, from 10 am to 2 pm. This outage is necessary as part of the MacLeod construction project.

Physical access to the Kaiser building will be prohibited during the outage period.

Power to the ICICS building is not expected to be affected. However, network access to computers in the ICICS building may be affected.

If you need your computer in Kaiser to be turned on after the power outage, please send a request to it@ece.ubc.ca. This is a service that we are offering to users next week for this exceptional event – IT staff normally have no physical access under COVID-19 measures.
