The IT Support Team were recently notified of an issue with the ECE e-mail service where, under certain conditions, incoming messages were erroneously identified as SPAM despite being legitimate.
The Team has made the necessary configuration changes to resolve the issue, however we recommend you check your “spam” or “.spam” folder either via your e-mail client (e.g., Thunderbird, Outlook, Apple Mail) or in ECE Webmail (http://webmail.ece.ubc.ca) in the event that you may have been affected.
If you have questions about the underlying cause of the issue, or how it was resolved, don’t hesitate to ask.
