As of 4:10am PDT, August 20th, the Sympa mailing list service is restored to working order.
The Sympa mailing list service for ECE and most of the Faculty of Applied Science went offline at 9:39pm PDT, August 19th.
This incident was caused by a misconfiguration resulting in the ECE load balancers taking over the HSRP VIP on subnet used by load-balanced services. This change did not impact services that are load balanced, such as the primary ECE website. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
