How to Request Access to a Server or Workstation

Jump to navigationJump to searchIf you require root access to a server or workstation managed by ECE IT, please submit a service request (see How To Report A Problem) containing the following information and provide supervisor approval:
- Supervisor's Name: [SUPERVISOR'S NAME]
- Your Name: [FULL NAME]
- Server/Workstation's Hostname: [HOSTNAME]
- ECE Account ID: [ACCOUNT ID]
- UBC CWL ID: [CWL ID]
The use of all department computing resources is subject to UBC's policies, in particular Policy SC14 (Acceptable Use and Security of UBC Electronic Information and Systems).
