Network Switch Upgrades (July 2-3, 2015)

In order to complete the Edge Switch upgrades on the CPSC01 and ICCS01 networks, we need to upgrade the Distribution Switches on both networks. This will take place on the following days:

• Thursday July 2, 2015 from 5:30am to 7:30am UBC IT will be upgrading from the existing CPSC01-10 Distribution Switch to CPSC01-1A. This will affect the Wired and Wireless connectivity in the South Wings of both the ICICS/CS Building (Bldg# 165) and the ICICS/CS Addition (Bldg# 166).
• Friday July 3, 2015 from 5:30am to 7:30am UBC IT will be upgrading from the existing ICCS01-24 Distribution Switch to ICCS01-2A. This will affect the Wired and Wireless connectivity in the North Wings of both the ICICS/CS Building (Bldg# 165) and the ICICS/CS Addition (Bldg# 166).

During these time windows, many ECE websites will be unavailable, and network connectivity in the ECE and wireless networks will likely be interrupted.
